Amsterdam

Amsterdam can not be fully explained or defined by words. It is simply one of those things where you have to "see it for yourself." I will say that the atmosphere is very welcoming in Amsterdam, maybe too welcoming. We have all heard about the prostitution and drug market of Amsterdam. This is old news. What you should go to Amsterdam to see are the beautiful canals lined with four and five story, gable roofed warehouses that are now used as homes and some businesses. Also a part of this notorious city is an abundance of world class museums, monuments, and unrivaled art work. One must honest when saying that Amsterdam in with no doubt a "sin city," but it is also a place of nearly unlimited history, museums, art, and a culture of its own.

>The picture above is an inside view of one of Amsterdam's prized museums: "Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder" or " Our Lord in the Attic." It is a seventeenth century home with a church in the attic. It is Amsterdam's 2nd oldest museum and was used for private church services, Catholic of course, during the time of Reformation in Holland. A site that is DEFINATELY worth seeing!
